Black Baptista

They are rockers, they come from Los Angeles and they know who to play good music. Black Baptista are one of the most clicked names around, tweeting a lot and sharing their rock tunes on the Net. With the debut album Thread the Needle releases on July 26th (available HERE on their website), they some psychedelic vibe from the ’60s and pure blues rock.

After their debut Ways Not to Lose in 2006, Oliver Wood (guitar, vocals) and Chris Wood (bass, vocals) worked on their acoustic tunes, remarkably improving their sound. They moved to Woodstock, NY, reuniting in a studio friends and collaborators such as Amos Lee, Pieta Brown and Frazey Ford,  violinists David Mansfield and Jennifer Choi, cellist David Eggar among the others, to create a brand new album, Loaded. My Brothers Banned

They label themselves as electro acoustic from NY, they’ve been releasing EPs and LPs since 2003 and they are a well-known name in the underground scene. Their sound is a mix of cello, mandolin, banjo, broken glass with more traditional guitar and bass. Out with Meet Me In the Park since last April, they’re worth checking for the electro-related lovers.
