Ryan Adams – Ashes & Fire

Eleven years after ‘Heartbreaker’, Ryan Adams releases a new album produced by Glyn Johns and entitled ‘Ashes & Fire’. The alt-country singer-songwriter has already released songs like ‘Lucky Now’, ‘Ashes & Fire’ and ‘Invisible Riverside’, ‘Dirty Rain’ and ‘Empty Room’. Rumors also suggest the collaboration of Norah Jones and Benmont Tench, Heartbreakers’  keyboardist. The release of ‘Ashes & Fire’ will be promoted by various live dates, including the Union Chapel in London on 27 October and the Grand Opera House York 28.

Charlotte Gainsbourg – Stage Whisper

On Sept. 5th, Charlotte Gainsbourg released the EP ‘Terrible Angels’, available on CD and vinyl with two new songs, the live recording of the song ‘IRM’ and a cover of ‘Just Like a Woman’ by Bob Dylan, and two music videos. ‘Terrible Angels’ is the first part of the so-called ‘double album’ announced last August, composed by the EP and the album, entitled ‘Stage Whisper’. The album will be released for ‘Because Music’ and will feature Beck (already in ‘IRM’), Conor O’Brien of the Villagers, Noah and the Whale and Connan Mockasin. The compilation will include 11 songs plus 7 previously unreleased tracks, and the result of the recording sessions of the previous ‘IRM’.

Owen – Ghost Town

Owen, also known as Mike Kinsella, will release the sophomore after ‘New Leaves’ (2009) this Autumn. The album, called ‘Ghost Town’ will be released for Polyvinyl Records and will contain nine new songs. The label on the site have begun pre-sales of the album, which is available in limited edition vinyl format, CD and digital download.
