TotW: Twin Sister, Dum Dum Girls, Deerhoof

Twin Sister – Kimmi in a Rice Field

This video reminds me of some italian horror movies from the 70s, in which splatter and suspense where coupling with surrealism. Twin Sister’s ‘Kimmi in a Rice Field’ video ( directed by Bryan Ujueta & Dan Devine) is probably the best way to introduce a listener to the new album ‘In Heaven’, released on Sept 27, via Domino.

Dum Dum Girls – Bedroom Eyes

After the release of the sophomore ‘Only In Dreams’ via Sub Pop, Dum Dum Girls’ first single is out now, directed by  Sam Macon. The album was produced by Richard Gottehrer and introduces the new entry  Sune Rose Wagner, also known as guitar and voice of the Raveonettes.

Deerhoof – Secret Mobilization

Deerhoof’s video is actually a story -directed by Ewan MacLeod. It probably makes no sense, but it’s worth watching it. The song is part of  the album ‘Deerhoof Vs. Evil’, released earlier this year via Polyvinyl, and reminding us of Yesayer, Grizzly Bear and Flaming Lips.
