NewinTown: the Vickers


While touring all around Europe to promote their debut album ‘Fine For Now’, the Vickers found some time to spare and tell us something more about them. Italian guys with a britpop soul. You can listen to their music under the cut, so what are you waiting for?

Introduce the band to somebody who’s never heard of you:

Hey folks, we are The Vickers. The band is composed of:

Andrea Mastropietro (Vocals, Guitar), Federico Sereni (Bass Guitar, Backing vocals),  Francesco Marchi (Vocals, Guitar) and Marco Biagiotti (Drums, Backing Vocals). We’ve got songs to make you dance, drink and think!

Three words to describe your sound:

Catchy, Tight, Real.

Artists who influenced your music: 

The Beatles, because they are the greatest band ever. Other big influences are Neil Young, The Smiths, Blur, Libertines and many more…

What are you up to at the moment:

At the present time we’re promoting our album “Fine For Now” in Europe. We’ll play in Paris at the end of September, then we’ll fly to London (Club Fandango http://clubfandango.co.uk/ – Buffalo Bar)  in December and February (Dublin Castle http://thedublincastle.com/). It will be an amazing experience.
