If you Were…The Beautiful Word

We have a special interview today. I am going to introduce you to the Beautiful Word with a special feature that some of you may remember. This is the If you Were tag, in which the band introduces itself and answers to quite unusual questions. This English band is looking for a good honest label to release its next album with, so keep an eye on them.

Introduce the band to somebody who’s never heard of you:

Melodic folk pop based around vocal harmony, mystery and optimism

What are you up to at the moment:

In general, we are in pre-production for our next album. It will be a culmination of all our best songs so far. We’re researching producers and labels at the moment as we want to find nice people to release it with. Right this second we’re sending off a rider for our first gig in Paris!

If you were a color, which one would you be? Why?

Aghgh?! All the colours! White has them all in, right? We’ll be white.

If you were a genre? Why?

we always say mystery pop.

If you were an ice-cream flavour?  Why?

pistachio – elements of sophistication in an otherwise childlike form.

If you were a movie? Why?

Disneys The Jungle Book!  The tunes are amazing, animals are cool and we love being outside 🙂

If you were an instrument? Why?

Our Toy piano, Joyce. She has character and a clean, sparkly tone.

If you were a super power? Why?

I suppose healing, that’s nice and non aggressive, but still pretty good!

If you were a music decade? Why?

right here and now is a fine place to be. Genres are merging more than ever, amazing stuff is happening with folk/world influenced music and with acts like Gotye and Bombay Bicycle club we’re happy right here.
