“You spent the evening unpacking books from boxes /You passed me up so as not to break a promise / Scattered polaroids and sprinkled words around your collar / In the long run, you said you knew that this would happen”…anybody else missing the old, good Maxïmo Park tunes? I do, loads. They were possibly my first proper unconscious indie-spin. Ah, happy days.
By the way, Fab is spending her days now packing books in boxes, and CDs in Slagenzers – spending so much time playing Tetris had its good use after all. So, packing to go to London seeking fortune; the time is come, less than a week and I’ll have to kiss Bath goodbye. *excited-terrified-confused face*. To keep you company during this endless day (and support me during the moving process), another round of new music for you, my friends – a bit telegraphic I am afraid, but I hope the music will talk for itself this time.
Dog & Panther – Giant Hands (electronic-indie folk)
Coy Man Boy (catchy bluesy pop)
Haerts – Wings (Haim-y pop)
Daughn Bigson – the Sound of Law (upbeat Nick Cave-ish rock)
John Grant – Pale Green Ghost (Xinobi Remix)
I don’t usually sympathise with remixes, but this is remarkably done
